An authenticator app generates a temporary code for two-step verification, enhancing the security of your online accounts. If you use an authenticator app with Payoneer, when you sign in or complete a secured action, you will be asked for a 6-digit code from your authenticator app.

Authenticator apps generate unique codes for secured actions like signing in to your account. These codes typically change every 30 seconds to enhance security.

Authenticator apps offer greater security compared to text (SMS) messages by generating codes directly on your device. This reduces risks such as network interception. The codes also change every 30 seconds, making secured actions even safer.

Authenticator apps are always available, as they generate codes offline. They are accessible on your phone and offer an external method of security, reducing vulnerability to network breaches.

Some popular authenticator apps include Microsoft Authenticator, Google Authenticator, and Twilio Authy. You can also use other trusted options if you already have a preferred choice.
